Italy's Cristof Innerhofer won the men's World Cup downhill event here on Sunday ahead of the Austrian duo of Klaus Kroll and Michael Walchhofer.

The 24-year-old Innerhofer, wearing bib number one, came down the icy and rutted course in 2minutes 3.55 seconds, 0.32sec ahead of Kroll with Walchhofer third at 0.95sec.

American Bode Miller, who won here last year, finished fourth after starting in 46th position after he missed the bib draw.
